Some examples of different focusing techniques

Here are a few examples of some shots we're going to use for our thriller intro. The first 3 shots are examples of SDOF while tracking, we were thinking of using this with slow motion to create suspense and build up to the robbery, the last shot is a focus pull, we may use this for establishing shots of locations.

Research for our opening

Some ideas of how bank robberies have been filmed in the past. We could maybe use some of these techniques, the CCTV style filming is a good technique and using masks would make the intentions of the characters clearer to the audience.

Example video of tracking shots

This video includes examples of tracking shots that we are planning to use in our thriller opening
(ignore the thing in the middle, I was using a free editing software)

Location Respose

For a first idea we wanted to use SG Hambros Private Bank as a possible location. I wrote off to the buildings owners with help of my father who works there. Unfortuantly "The customers and companies who use Norfolk House are too high profile to allow the public to use at will". So we'll have to use a public building such as a highstreet bank.
